Teenage pregnancy has steadily increased in Thailand over the past fifteen years. In 2002, 32 out of every one thousand girls under 19 had been pregnant at least once; in 2014 this number had increased to 53 out of every one thousand girls. Thailand has enacted the Act to Prevent and to Solve Adolescent Pregnancy in 2016 as a new legal framework to better coordinate national efforts in providing rights to sexual and reproductive health to all young people in Thailand.
