For your information, the second most read article in UNFPA Thailand Facebook Fanpage was "Heroic Dogs" story with the total reach of 190. The other posts saw the average total reach on the United Nations Population Fund Thailand Office Webpage of around 60.
Our Webpage fans have expressed their interesting comments such as a comment by Bruce Avas saying "Woman can deliver a calm and gentle approach to conflict resolution and management." Tom Naris said Woman can deliver "A better life to a child!" Duangkamol Ponchamni noted, "คือหัตถาครองพิภพจบสากล" or "Women's hands control the universal".
It is noted that apparently, the first thing that came to mind of our respondents regarding the women is the motherhood and her role in being the pillar for the family and subsequently for the society.
Sukit Suwannachairop said, "มีแม่จึงมีเรา" or "We exist because of the mother." Auang Sareeya said, "ผู้หญิง--ให้ความเอื้อเอ็นดูต่อเด็กและคนชราในสังคม เสมือนมารดาของสรรพสิ่งในโลกใบนี้" or "Woman - caring for the children and elderly in the society like the mother of this globe." Aoi Navapas added, "เป็นผู้สร้างสังคมระดับครอบครัว ที่จะนำไปสู่สังคมระดับอื่นต่อไป" or "Woman creates the society from the family level to build the social foundation to the next level." Miki Maru noted, "ผู้หญิงทำให้สังคมได้รู้จักคำว่า ART ตัวแม่" or "Woman makes the society realize the meaning of the Art of Motherhood." Ja Jom Jam said, "ผู้หญิงสามารถให้กำเนิดบุคลากรของสังคมได้ และนอกจากจะให้กำเนิดแล้ว ยังช่วยส่งเสริมสิ่งที่ดีงามแก่บุคลากรที่ตนได้ให้กำเนิด" or "Mother can deliver the human resource for the society. And apart from delivering a baby, she can nurture the baby that she delivers." Nan Anthika agreed, "ผู้หญิงเป็นผู้กำเนิดทรัพยากรมนุษย์ที่เป็นกำลังหลักในการสร้างชาติและครอบครัวที่ดีงาม" or "Woman is the beginning of the human resource which is the main drive to create the beautiful nation and the family." Natamon Na Thalang said, "ผู้หญิงเป็นแกนหลักสำคัญของครอบครัวซึ่งเป็นจุดที่เริ่มต้นพัฒนาคนที่ดีให้กับสังคม" or "Woman is a main pillar of the family which is the beginning of building the quality people for the society."
Some also pointed out the caring aspects of womanhood. Patch Ratchanee said "ช่วยให้ความอบอุ่นและความน่ารักสดใสค่ะ" or "Woman can provide warmth and delight." Jeans Jeanss said, "ผู้หญิงเปลี่ยนความกระด้างของเพศตรงข้ามได้ที่รอยยิ้ม" or "Woman can melt the heart with her smile." Kanokporn Khumchang added, "ผู้หญิงให้ความสดใสแก่โลกค่ะ" or "Woman lightens up the world." Wantana Nimnualpong said, "ผู้หญิงมียิ้มสดใส ได้อยู่ใกล้แล้วอุ่นใจ" or "Woman's delightful smile creates warm air around her."
To some, womanhood is associated with righteousness and being teacher. Noisasi Settavongsin said, "เป็นคนสร้างจริยธรรม ศีลธรรมให้กับเด็กๆในสังคม" or "Woman upholds ethics and morality for the children in the society." Achara Puttasomsri said, "ถ้าเป็นครูผู้หญิง ก็จะให้ความรู้และคำสั่งสอนกับลูกศิษย์ เพื่อให้ลูกศิษย์เป็นเด็กดีและเป็นเยาวชนที่ดีของประเทศชาติต่อไปค่ะ" or "If the teacher is a woman, she will educate and teach the students to create quality young people and national asset in the future." Myre Nim said, "ความเป็นเพศแม่ในผู้หญิงได้ให้ความรัก เลี้ยงดู อบรมและหล่อหลอมลูกๆ ให้เติบโตเป็นคนอย่างไรในสังคมและในชาตินั้นๆ ถ้าปลูกฝังอบรมลูกๆ เรื่องความถูกต้อง ความมีวินัยและจริยธรรมที่ดี ปัญหาเรื่องการทำผิดศีลธรรมหรือทุจริตคดโกงก็คงลดลงได้บ้างคะ" or "The motherhood in a woman delivers love & care and nurtures her child for the society. If mothers instill awareness of the righteousness, disciplines and morality in her children, the problem of the ethical violation or corruption will be reduced." Chanetsada Sangjang said, "ความสวย ความอ่อนหวาน ความนุ่มนวล ความอ่อนโยนของผู้หญิง ช่วยทำให้บรรยากาศของสังคมมีสีสรรค์ , เป็นแม่พิมพ์ของชาติ (เป็นครูคนแรกของลูกๆ)ช่วยอบรมบ่มนิสัยเด็กให้อยู่ใในสังคมได้ ไม่เป็นปัญหาต่อสังคม, เป็นแม่บ้านที่ดีของครอบครัว" or "Woman's beauty and gentleness spice up the society. She is also the role model of the nation, being the first teacher of her child, glooming her child to become the good citizen for the society and being the good housekeeper for the family."
Women also have other role. Ma Mai said, "เป็นแรงงานทางเศรษฐกิจของประเทศ" or "Being the economic workforce of the country." Angie-ja Pongvutitham said, "ปฏิบัติงานแข็งขัน" or "Work hard." หญิงเล็กซ์ noted that the women must possess the environmental conscious by commenting, "ทิ้งขยะให้ถูกต้องเพื่อรักษาสิ่งแวดล้อมและรักษ์โลก โดยการแยกขยะเปียก ขยะแห้ง ขยะสารพิษ ขยะรีไซร์เคิล ค่ะ" Woman can protect the environment by segregating wet, dry hazardous and recycle waste"
